The NFL has just announced that it will not allow tweeting during games, as of this coming season, even though we already knew this. NFL spokesperson Greg Aiello:

We already have a rule that prohibits the use of cell phones or other handheld devices in the bench area during games.

Apparently, NFL stars needed clarification that using Twitter would probably involve using a handheld device. Or PC. Eli Manning seems to have jumped the gun by stopping tweeting altogether. This site is taking bets on whether someone will disregard the rule and tweet from the end zone after a touchdown. This video suggests they may be right to put low odds on this:
