Decent compromise

Goofram: The only search engine sponsored by Disney's Goofy

I’ve written a fair amount in these past few weeks about problems I have with most of the popular search engines, most notably, Microsoft Bing. Most of them are decent enough, nothing special, and often don’t give you the full picture. That’s why I love the hilariously titled Goofram. It combines on one page the search results for Google and Wolfram Alpha, so if you want info on, say, the Philadelphia Phillies, you get all the dry Google results, images and ads, and all the sweet stats and facts that Wolfram likes to flaunt, when it actually ‘knows what to do you’ with your inputs. It’s like having two browser pages open in one page, and if you can get over having to read two sets of results for each thing you want to search for, then it can prove to be a pretty useful tool. It’s ugly, but at least it does what Bing tries to.
